WWF Belgium is looking for a passionate Program Manager to lead and grow high-impact conservation programs in the Asia-Pacific region, with a strong focus on the Greater Mekong. As part of the dynamic International Programs team, you’ll work closely with WWF colleagues and partners worldwide. Your mission: ensure quality, relevance, and sustainability of field programs through strategic support, contextual analysis, and strong partnerships. Join us to drive real change for nature and people.  

Deep dive into the role
  • Support and strengthen partnerships: You’ll work closely with local partners throughout the full project cycle - from assessing feasibility and relevance, designing strategies and budgets, to ensuring compliance and risk management. You’ll help shape effective conservation programs by co-developing theories of change, logical frameworks, indicators, and action plans tailored to each context.
 
  • Ensure effective delivery and accountability: You’ll oversee the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of conservation programs in your portfolio, supporting partners in their annual planning and regular reviews. You’ll ensure compliance with internal and external requirements, coordinate with colleagues such as the MEL Specialist and Finance Controller, and report on results, risks, and progress.
 
  • Drive knowledge sharing and innovation: You’ll stay on top of relevant developments in the Asia-Pacific region and within the WWF network to strengthen your portfolio. You’ll seek innovative solutions, contribute to internal and external communication, support colleagues working in the region, and help build strategic partnerships aligned with WWF’s conservation goals.
 
  • Contribute to fundraising effortsIn collaboration with the Program Development Specialist and local partners, you’ll help identify and develop new funding opportunities to sustain and expand the impact of your conservation programs.
Who will you collaborate with
  • You will be part of our International Programs department, composed of 10 people (IP Director, Program Managers responsible for their area, Program officers, Monitoring & Program Development specialists)
  • You will collaborate with the field teams, but also with your colleagues from WWF-Belgium and the international WWF network.
This is a good match for you if
  • You hold a master's degree in biology,nature conservation, ecology,bioengineering or other relevant field
  • You have between 2 and 5 years experiencein project managementin conservation, preferably involving work with local communities
  • You have at least years of relevant field experience in the Asia-Pacific region
  • You have practical knowledge of GIS 
  • You have a good knowledge of donor requirements (i.e., Belgian CooperationEuropean Union, ...)
  • You are confident with budgetingfinancial follow-up, and Excel
  • You are structured and detail-oriented
  • You have diplomacynegotiation skills, and critical thinking
  • You are fluent in English; knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus
  • You are flexible and able to travel in remote conditions at least once a year (most of the work will be basedin our Brussels office)
